Meeting with Delegates from University of Wolverhampton and University of Derby

On the morning of February 28th, Zhang Bo, Director of University of Wolverhampton China Office, and Qian Taotuoyu, Director of University of Derby China Office, paid a visit to HUAS with their delegation. Li Gang, HUAS Vice President, met with the guests at Room A405, Yifu Building. They had a discussion on the topic of international cooperation and exchange programs between the two universities.

At the meeting, Vice President Li Gang gave a welcome speech on behalf of the school and briefly introduced the basic information of HUAS. He said that HUAS officially established a cooperative relationship with University of Wolverhampton in 2008, which was the first time for HUAS to have a relationship with the university from UK. The two universities have had a close bond between each other. He hoped that the two universities would deepen the cooperation and have more exchange programs for the students and teachers so as to improve the level of internationalization for HUAS.

Director Zhang Bo hoped that the two sides will further increase efforts in the exchange of teachers and students. Director Qian Taotuoyu introduced the basic information of Derby University and hoped that the two schools can establish a cooperative relationship with each other in the future.

The University of Wolverhampton is located in Wolverhampton, Midwest England. It is one of the first universities whose diploma was recognized by both Chinese and British governments. It is a university with three campuses, (Wolverhampton, Walsall and Telford), 4 departments, 18 colleges, more than 900 undergraduate, master's and doctoral programs and 15 international research centers.

The University of Derby was founded in 1851. It is located in Derby, in the heart of England. There are several world's leading engineering companies in the city, such as Rolls Royce, Toyota, Bombardier, JCB and so on. The school has three major campuses: Derby, Buxton, and Chesterfield with a number of about 20,000 students and it is one of the highest-employed universities in the UK.
